Winners from television - news and documentaries, print - newspapers and magazines, radio, websites and campaigns were honoured on 23 November for the vital role they play in communicating the importance of protecting the environment and alerting people to the dangers inherent in not doing so.
Two special awards were also announced on the night:
- The Andrew Lees Memorial Award - given by the environmental journalists in memory of the late Friends of the Earth Campaigns Director to an individual who has demonstrated his reputation for painstaking research and investigation into the causes of environmental degradation.
- The Awareness Award, presented by WWF and Media Natura - given to a major public figure who has helped raise awareness of environmental issues.

The compere was Michael Fish, MBE and the keynote speech was given by Caroline Lucas, MEP, The Green Party.
