What are you running for?
On 31 August 2008, Nike will hold the Nike+ Human Race, a series of 10km road running races in 25 cities around the world, including London. WWF is one of three charities that will benefit from the race, with funds raised going towards our work to combat climate change.

Raise funds for WWF
You can raise vital funds to tackle climate change when you choose to run for WWF. 10% of your registration fee will go to the Nike+ Human Race Fund, which will be shared among three charities. If you choose WWF as your nominated charity, you will help us receive as much as possible from the fund for our vital climate change work. And from 1 July 2008, please ask your friends and family to raise further funds to help us tackle climate change by sponsoring you on Nikeplus.com – watch this space!
How to register
Race registration in the UK on 12 June. You can register at Nikeplus.com and either choose to join the London race or run where you live. If you run in your city or town on 31 August, you can track how many kilometres you run by going online to Nikeplus.com
Global climate change deal
Climate change is a worldwide problem. To help tackle it we need an international commitment to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050. WWF is working with governments, businesses and partners across the world to drive forward a new global climate deal. If successful this global deal can make the difference between losing much of the worlds coral reefs, forests and species and creating a low carbon future which will enable people and wildlife to thrive.Learn more about WWF's climate work »
In the UK
Here in the UK one of the main things we can do to combat climate change is deliver a strong Climate Change Bill. WWF is campaigning to make the government strengthen the Bill – the first legislation of its kind in the world – to ensure it commits us to CO2 emissions reductions of at least 80% by 2050.
What you can do
We need your help to strengthen the UK Climate Change Bill. You can also measure your ecological impact, or your 'footprint'', and find tips on ways to reduce it, by visiting our footprint calculator.

The Nike+ Human Race will be the ultimate runner experience and by taking part you can support WWF's work on climate change.
