Help make May 3rd THE climate change election

13 April 2007
Mounting evidence suggests that time for action is fast running out. The latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report Saving the world's natural wonders from climate change - paints a frightening picture of a planet on the brink of humanitarian and environmental disaster. It calls on governments to control (CO2) emissions – the main climate change gas before climate change devastates the planet.
A powerful coalition has been set called Stop Climate Chaos which draws together over 50 national environmental and development groups, faith groups and humanitarian organisations. In Wales the group consists of CAFOD, Coed Cadw (the Woodland Trust), Centre for Alternative Technology, Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth Cymru, Greenpeace, National Federation of Women's Institutes, Oxfam Cymru, People & Planet, RSPB-Cymru, Sustrans, Tearfund, Unison and WWF-Cymru.

The coalition, under its I Count Campaign is campaigning around the Welsh Assembly Election to call on all parties and candidates to commit to reducing Welsh CO2 emissions by an average of at least 3 per cent annually.

The I Count Campaign has already organised successful fringe meetings at all the major four party conferences in the run-up to the campaign.
We are asking voters to contact their candidates and ask them to support our ask. You can do this by contacting your candidates both in your individual constituency and on the regional list. Click on the parties below to find out who is standing in your area -

Conservatives
Labour
Liberal Democrats
