Lawrence McGinty - ITN's Science Editor - reports from Alberta on Canada's dirty secret (May 2007).
ITN visited Fort McMurray, the hub of oil sands development, spoke to the First Nations communities of Mikisew Cree, and toured Shell's Albian Sands mine. The film crew saw the devastation of the forest, pollution of the water and air and the impacts on communities first hand. To see the report for yourself, play the following clip:
