Joining the Business Club
We welcome most companies that want to join us on the path to a greener future. But there are a few business activities that we don’t believe can make a positive contribution to a more sustainable world.
Which means we have to exclude companies whose core business involves armaments, tobacco, nuclear power, trading in endangered species, or animal testing for non-medical products. Or any other activities that we deem to conflict with our mission, or could damage our reputation. See our full list of exclusions.
By the way, under the Companies Act 2006, a “small company” is defined as one with an annual turnover of not more than £5.6 million, and no more than 50 employees. A “medium-sized company” has a turnover of less than £22.8 million and fewer than 250 employees.
