Baby boys' sexual development threatened
Wednesday 1 June 2005
WWF's Chemicals and Health Campaign is very concerned about the findings of a major new study linking one commonly used chemical to problems in the sexual development of baby boys.
The report links phthalates - a chemical used to make plastics more flexible, which is found in food wrappers, cosmetics, electrical equipment and many other products - to problems with the reproductive development of baby boys in the womb.
