WWF-UK announces new fundraising director
Thursday 15 May 2008
WWF-UK is delighted to welcome our new director of Supporter Relationship Management (SRM), Tobin Aldrich, previously the director of communications and fundraising at The National Deaf Children's Society.
David Nussbaum, chief executive of WWF-UK, said: "Tobin comes to WWF-UK with an extensive background in charity fundraising and a long-standing interest in the work that WWF does. As director of SRM, Tobin will be applying his wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to find innovative ways to increase funding and support for our campaigning work, while ensuring that our supporters continue to be engaged in conservation and environmental issues. We all look forward to working with Tobin in his new role."
Tobin will be responsible for SRM strategy and fundraising, heading up five teams made up of trusts and major supporters, legacy management, corporate partnerships, SRM Services and supporter management.
"I am delighted to join WWF-UK at a very exciting time for the organisation. My focus will be on expanding the charity's fundraising across all major areas, including increasing membership and expanding corporate and major gift fundraising," said Aldrich.
Aldrich is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, with an MBA from Cass Business School. He has a background in the IT industry and in the voluntary sector, including senior fundraising roles at the humanitarian charity, Concern Worldwide, UK-based homeless charity, Centrepoint and also the charity, Sight Savers International.
SRM helps WWF-UK to reach people who not only want to donate money but also to campaign on environmental issues.
