Ways you can get involved...
Here are three easy ways which you can help to ensure that the environment is at the top of the political agenda during the Welsh Assembly elections.
Use your vote
Voting is the single most important thing you can do to make your voice heard in Wales. By voting, you're helping to decide who will make decisions on the issues that affect you everyday.
If the environment is important to you, here are some questions you could ask your local candidates when you're deciding who to vote for:
Take action online
If you're prepared to spare a few minutes once a month or so to send a letter or e-mail to a decision-maker whenever there's an opportunity to influence environmental policy or legislation for the better, or to lobby against environmentally damaging practices, then we would love you to become an online campaigner. For more information on how to get involved please visit www.wwf.org.uk.
Events in Wales
In the run-up to the Welsh Assembly elections, the Stop Climate Chaos coalition, which WWF Cymru is part of, will be holding a series of hustings events . These will offer you a chance to quiz the candidates from the main political parties about environmental issues you care about.
They are free to attend and open to everyone.
They are being held on Wednesday 18 April, 7pm – 9pm, at the Thornhil Centre, Llanishen, Cardiff, Monday 23 April, 7.30pm - 9.30pm at The Environment Centre, Pier Street, Swansea and Tuesday 24 April, 7.15 - 9.30pm at Llangefni Town Hall, Anglesey.

If the environment is important to you, here are some questions you could ask your local candidates when you're deciding who to vote for:
- Will your party commit to deliver a 3 per cent a year reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, year on year to help combat climate change, and what are the key actions you would take to achieve these CO2 emissions reductions?
- What is your party's position on the ecological footprint in Wales, and will you commit to reducing it?
- Will your party adopt the Code for Sustainable Homes in order to achieve zero-carbon homes, and look at a similar code for existing and non-domestic buildings?
- Will your party commit to passing marine legislation in the Assembly's third term which will ensure the sustainable management of our seas?
