Extinct Programme
A roaring success for tigers!
Millions of viewers tuned into ITV1 in December to see the Bengal tiger voted the 'winner' of Extinct!

Projects supporting this species will now benefit from just over £163,000 – half the revenue generated through viewers' votes. The remaining 50 per cent will be split equally between the seven runners-up – the giant panda, polar bear, orang-utan, hyacinth macaw, leatherback turtle, Asian elephant and mountain gorilla.
The money will support projects including anti-poaching activities and scientific studies to better understand tigers and their prey.
The incredible generosity shown by viewers, who made donations of over £240,000, will support WWF's wider work around the world. This will be used where it's most urgently needed to conserve other endangered species, protect threatened habitats and address global threats such as climate change.
If you haven't got involved yet, it's not too late to donate online. Simply visit wwf.org.uk/extinct/donate
This is your chance to make a difference. Please opt in to Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer so WWF can claim an extra 28 per cent from the Inland Revenue at no extra cost to you.
