- Working in Partnership
WWF-UK's One Planet Homes campaign engages with business and industry to drive sustainable homes to the heart of the housing sector, but this cannot be achieved without a revision of the business framework and processes which determine the products and services we use.
WWF-UK works with business and industry to improve the standards of homes built and refurbished in the UK.
Partner Projects

To drive change in the industry the NextGeneration home-builders' benchmarking club, which WWF-UK co-founded, helps promote best practice and highlights exemplary companies and developments which feature high environmental standards.

WWF is a partner in the One Planet Products members buying group that brings together small and medium-sized businesses to drive down the price of sustainable building products and services.

WWF-UK is a founding member of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC). The UKGBC is a member-led campaigning organisation whose aim is to dramatically improve the sustainability of the built environment.

WWF-UK is a co-founder of Sustainable Homes Index For Tomorrow (SHIFT), an independent sustainability assessment service for organisations such as maintenance companies, housing associations and local authorities. The assessment looks at the building of new housing, the management of existing stock and governance structures on sustainability issues. Read our press release.

The Existing Homes Alliance is a newly formed coalition, chaired by WWF-UK. The alliance draws together government agencies, businesses, and housing and other environmental organisations to call for concerted action to reduce the environmental impact of the UK's existing housing stock.
