WWF Scotland's green office

Owing to continued expansion and a desire to increase our commitment to public transport, we have been planning our move from Aberfeldy for some time.

In September 2005, we moved into our newly renovated, traditional building in Dunkeld, Perthshire.

Every business, resource and individual has an impact on the environment - a "footprint". WWF Scotland wanted to reduce the footprint of its new office as much as possible.

This website is designed to help any organisation or individual embarking on a similar renovation project, and to show the benefits that greener choices can bring to the owner, the occupier, the community and the environment.

Many of the objectives are shared with WWF's campaigns on Chemicals and Health and One Million Sustainable Homes

The green office pages
On these pages we have put together a guide to planning a green office. Here you will find ten sections covering areas for consideration when embarking on a new office. Each section links to further information on our useful links page.

The step-by-step guide then takes you through the process of creating your green office.

Even if you are not planning an office move or refurbishment, our top tips page lists positive steps you can take immediately to reduce the footprint of your office, at little or no extra cost.

These pages have been produced with the help of Thirdwave Scotland Ltd, WWF's sustainability advisors on this building, from feasibility and execution to post occupancy.
