WWF-UK Employee Benefits Package Summary
We value each of our employees and offer the following competitive benefits package to support that.
Annual leave
- Our holiday year runs from July to June.
- You’ll have 25 days annual leave if you’re employed on a standard contract in addition to eight public holidays. You’ll need to take three of these days when our offices are closed in December.
- Your leave is pro-rated if you work on a non-standard contract (ie not Monday to Friday, 9 to 5).
- You’re entitled to an extra day’s leave for each year of service you complete, up to a maximum of 30 days.
You’re eligible to join our stakeholder pension plan, which is set up with Standard Life.
- We’ll contribute 10% if you contribute 2.5% or more of your salary. We’ll contribute 7.5% if you contribute less than 2.5%.
- Under our pension scheme, you can make your own investment selection from the choices offered, including an ethical plan.
- If you’re between 16 and 64 and have at least one year’s service, you may be eligible for cover under our income protection insurance scheme. This will give you a percentage of your salary if you become either totally or partly unable to continue working as a result of sickness or accident.
- Our group life assurance scheme is a death-in-service benefit that provides a lump sum equal to three times your basic salary if you’re between the ages of 16 and 64.
- The individual named on your Group Life Assurance Scheme Benefit form will receive this benefit.
- You can get free, confidential advice on a range of issues through a telephone service facilitated by BUPA, This is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- This service offers specialist information and advice on legal, financial, consumer rights and domestic situations as well as providing a confidential counselling service that extends to partners and children under the age of 21 who live at home.
- If you’re on a permanent or fixed term contract of sufficient length, you can make savings on the cost of a bicycle and safety equipment by taking part in this salary sacrifice scheme.
- You can apply for an annual season ticket loan for any train, bus or underground train journey from your home to your place of work.
- Childcare vouchers are a flexible and tax-efficient way to cover childcare costs if you’re a working parent. Under the scheme you can currently sacrifice up to £243 a month from your pre-tax salary in exchange for vouchers. You can redeem these with any approved childcare provider and save money on your tax and National Insurance contributions.
