About the film
Created by acclaimed writer Stephen Poliakoff and director Charles Sturridge, our new breathtaking short film, ‘Astonish Me’ showcases some of the extraordinary species recently found and filmed around the world.
The film heralds a magical and captivating return for the medium of the short film and stars Bill Nighy, Gemma Arterton, Christian McKay and introduces Will Jacklin.

Science behind the film
Astonish Me has been a totally new experience for us. We’ve made films before but never works of fiction for the cinema. It raised some fascinating questions and challenges which we thought would be good to share.
