- Huhne gone - now climate baton passes to Ed Davey
- 03/02/12
- Chris Huhne’s resignation marks the departure of a key politician who, judging by today’s comments from a number of environmental organisations, has done a good job in very challenging circumstances. As our head of public affairs Margaret Ounsley put it: "Chris Huhne understands the very complex issue of climate change, and his negotiating skills were important in helping get the climate change talks back on track." read more about 'Huhne gone - now climate baton passes to Ed Davey'

- Fish Papers
- 30/01/12
- Someone once told me today's news is tomorrow's fish wrapper. If that is true than diners can expect and interesting read while they tuck into their fish supper as the papers were awash with fish news this weekend. First the BBC followed our report into the rapid global exploitation of fish stocks with a great animation clearly showing the impact. read more about 'Fish Papers'

- Something for Christmas: win a WWF film commission!
- 16/12/11
- With our economy tanking and the UK being bumped into an ‘age of austerity’ there’s a real squeeze on all our wallets. Every penny really does count for millions across the country as their bank balance slips more into the red each month. But energy prices will continue to rocket due to our reliance on fossil fuels. read more about 'Something for Christmas: win a WWF film commission!'

- CCC injects a note of sanity into energy debate
- 16/12/11
- It’s great that the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) has injected a note of sanity into the fevered debate around household energy bills, and confirmed what everyone knew - that it’s the cost of fossil fuels, not ‘green policies’ that’s forcing up energy bills. read more about 'CCC injects a note of sanity into energy debate'

- Cuadrilla defends shale gas - but are we convinced?
- 13/12/11
- Last week I took a trip to the UK's only active shale drilling site, operated by Cuadrilla and situated in a field in Lancashire. I went there to see the fracking and gas extraction for myself, having studied so many reports about earth tremors, water contamination and greenhouse gas emissions. read more about 'Cuadrilla defends shale gas - but are we convinced?'

- Durban Diary - Day 11: 24 hours left
- 09/12/11
- It was a rather weird day here in Durban today. Your view of how things are going with the talks depended greatly upon where you happened to find yourself in this sprawling conference venue. read more about 'Durban Diary - Day 11: 24 hours left'

- Huhne: “£45bn to gain by tackling climate change” - does the Chancellor know?
- 02/12/11
- Does the government have a clear policy on the environment or not? One minute the Chancellor George Osborne is calling it “a burden” on business growth, and now his cabinet colleague Chris Huhne at DECC has released his ‘Carbon Plan’, which says the net benefit to the UK economy from tackling climate could be £45 billion. We know which we think is right - but do they? read more about 'Huhne: “£45bn to gain by tackling climate change” - does the Chancellor know?'

- Durban Diary - Day 4: the pizza metaphor
- 02/12/11
- Today began and ended with pizza. At our early morning team catch-up a colleague recounted a speech given in one session the previous day. Describing the current discussions on the key principles guiding the negotiations here in Durban one Egyptian delegate offered up the following story: “Two people ordered a couple of pizzas. One of them ate up the first pizza to leave only one. Then the two people started fighting over the remaining pizza.” read more about 'Durban Diary - Day 4: the pizza metaphor'

- Durban Diary - Day 3: is the Global Climate Fund a horse designed by a committee?
- 01/12/11
- This morning I began to wonder if the strikes taking place across the UK had magically turned up here in South Africa as our so-called regular shuttle bus to the UN climate change talks failed to materialise. After waiting patiently for over an hour we opted for taxis for fear that the entire two-week event would be over by the time we got there. read more about 'Durban Diary - Day 3: is the Global Climate Fund a horse designed by a committee?'

- Durban Diary – Day 2: one decisive action and some strong diplomatic language
- 30/11/11
- The mood here in Durban has changed just a little, but sadly not in a positive way. Things feel a little overcast. Not because of any deliberate action by any one country, but probably more to do with the dire lack of action by those most responsible for the impacts of climate change to help move these talks forward. read more about 'Durban Diary – Day 2: one decisive action and some strong diplomatic language'
