Evading capture: Is the UK power sector ready for carbon capture and storage?

Use of fossil fuels with capture and storage of resulting emissions could play a significant role as a bridge to a truly low-carbon, sustainable energy system. This report brings together evidence on how ready the power sector is to successfully implement carbon capture and storage (CSS). It shows why WWF believes there could be a role for CCS in the power sector if technology is demonstrated to be effective and transport and storage can be shown to be safe and environmentally benign.
