Tanzania – the Great Ruaha River
Water flow through the Great Ruaha has decreased significantly during dry seasons in recent years. Poor water management within rice irrigation schemes, destructive fishing practices, dry season vegetable growing, livestock grazing and deforestation are all to blame.
