Helping to fund WWF's work protecting penguins in Antarctica
In March 2010, we launched a partnership with United Biscuits McVitie’s Penguin brand to draw attention to the plight of penguins in and around the Antarctic. As part of the partnership last year, United Biscuits gave away 2,500 WWF penguin adoption packs to lucky Penguin consumers.
This year, United Biscuits continues to support our penguin conservation work with a second donation of £100,000 and further customer engagement on the Penguin website.
What we're doing
Through the partnership, we are:
- raising vital funds for WWF’s Antarctic and Southern Oceans Programme, Climate Change Programme and other conservation work;
- supporting McVitie’s “Protect the Penguins” campaign and;
- engaging with consumers about penguins and their habitat, and the threats they face.
