WWF at the Conservative Party conference


WWF will be attending the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham this year and will be involved in events relating to energy, climate change, international development and promoting green growth.

The events WWF are actively involved with are listed below.

On Sunday 7th October at 5.30pm - WWF. Tearfund and Bright Blue will be hosting a fringe event with Decc minister Greg Barker MP: ‘Conservatives and Climate Change.’

On Monday 8th October at 1pm - WWF, Oxfam and RSA Insurance will be hosting a fringe event with George Freeman MP: ‘Growing pains: Can the politics of sustainability survive the economic downturn?’

Also on Monday 8th October at 7.30pm - The Sustainability Hub and Mitsubishi will be hosting a reception with Laura Sandys MP and Decc Minister Greg Barker MP: ‘Low carbon growth; going green in the black.’

On Tuesday 9th of October at 1pm – The Bond group and Conservative Friends of International Development will be hosting a fringe event with the, as yet unconfirmed, attendance of the Secretary of State for Dfid, the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP : 'Tackling poverty in a resource constrained world.’
