Creative curriculum
This is some examples of what the schools have been doing in regards to the creative curriculum relating to supporting and engaging in One Sun One World project.
Bevington Primary School
The school has been using the ‘Mantle of the Expert’ as a curriculum approach to explore the themes behind One Sun One World.
Bousfield Primary School
During curriculum week, the school used the ‘Mantle of the Expert’ approach which involves setting up an imaginary scenario then introducing a dilemma or problem that the children have to become experts in to help them solve the problem.
Fox Primary School
Pupils from Year 2 were involved in a workshop and performance led by the English Chamber Orchestra and Royal College of Music which focused on the Cacao plant and bean, and its journey to Europe.
Marlborough Primary School
The school used a theme week explore recycling and the environment, linked to curriculum.
Parkwood Hall School
Students have looked at the school grounds and seen how animals have adapted to their environments.
Servite Primary School
As part of a creative curriculum, the school have tried to cover topics that can be tied in with One Sun One World. In Key Stage 1, they learnt about animals and the wonderful ecosystems of the ocean.
