Singing

Colville Primary School is delighted to have taken part in One Sun One World project. Our chior has grown in number as a result of the inspiring nature of this project. Children were particularly excited about how environmental issues have been explored throught singing.

Creative curriculum

Through the SEAL topic of 'Changes', we have explored environmental issues both in class and through our weekly Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning assemblies. The choir has led disussions in assemblies regarding the detrimental impact of environmental change on animals' welfare.

Art

Our Early Years Foundation Stage department enjoyed making families of  jungle animals, as well as underwater scenes. The project extended beyond the school day, with the children in the play centre making wildlife masks and learning about the importance of caring for the environment.
