Fox Primary

Art

A variety of displays on nature and the environment have sprung up at Fox Primary. While not all of them are directly linked to One Sun One World, they all reflect the school's views on the environment.

Singing

Pupils from years 3 and four, together with the school choir have been learning the songs from One Sun One World. It is hoped that over 70 children will take part in the premiere in October.

Creative curriculum

Pupils from Year 2 were involved in a workshop and performance led by the English Chamber Orchestra and Royal College of Music which focused on the Cacao plant and bean, and its journey to Europe. All of the children really enjoyed the process and the parents who attended the performance thought it was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils, as well as an enjoyable performance.

Why take part?

"The school has benefited from the musical aspect of One Sun One World, as they have to learn a large number of songs at a fast pace, which cover topics that can be discussed outside of music lessons.

It is also a great opportunity for them to perform in the Royal Albert Hall. The younger children benefited from the workshop, meaning that they will have a better knowledge of the subject material when they attend the concert."
