Students from  Sion Manning (years 7, 8, 9, 11) have taken part in the One Sun One World project by producing logo designs to be used to promote the project. The students were given the information that was sent to the schools. They looked at logo designs form different companies and used what they had learnt to design their own logo designs for the project. The students were asked to produce designs that were easy recognisable and immediately associated with the One Sun One World project.

Three designs, produced by the students (a winning design and two runners up), were chosen by the representatives from each of the partner. The three winning students were asked to visit WWF to meet the professional graphic designers and work with them to refine their designs. The winning design will be used on all branding and will become the identity and represent One Sun One World project. Sion Manning School is pleased and proud that the winning designs were chosen from their school.

Why take part

"Students have benefited from taking part. They were encouraged to look at commercial logo designs and to learn to be creative and think of their own designs. They learnt about aspects of the world's diversity.

They are proud that the pupils from Sion Manning were able to produce the winning design for publication in such a high profile project. Photographs were taken when the students went to WWF to work with the graphic designers."
