The Art Coordinator went to an INSET on Art and this resulted on an in-school INSET inspire other teachers to undertake art projects based on One Sun One World.

Singing

Years 4 and 5 are preparing the songs in class ready to sing in ther performance in October. They have attended cluster rehearsals with other schools.

Creative music and drama workshops

The Year 2 students along with their class teacher and Teacher Aids have throughly enjoyed working with the Royal College of Music and the English Chamber Orchestra in their workshops, including singing, movement and playing instruments. They are very proud of their achievements and have paticularly enjoyed working with professional musicians and hearing them play their instruments.

Why take part?

"Children say they enjoy singing about all the different characters. They are learning songs that cover a range of styles and genres. Children who have been reluctant singers are getting into the stories behind the songs. The songs appeal to these children and now they are singing."
