Learn 2009 - 2010
Learn, WWF's free poster resource for schools, provides inspiring and thought-provoking ideas every term to help you and your pupils start thinking about topical environmental issues. The resource includes a poster image and quote, key questions, stimulus activity ideas and background information.
Poverty and environment
Summer 2010
This is the first in a set of three Learn posters produced with support from the UK government's Department for International Development (DFID). They're designed to help students build their understanding of the links between poverty and the environment.
Earth Hour
Spring 2010
This special edition of Learn focuses on WWF’s Earth Hour which takes place on the 27 March 2010.
In 2010, we hope that one billion people across the world will sign up to WWF’s Earth Hour and switch off their lights for an hour at 8.30pm on Saturday 27 March. People will be taking part because it’s an opportunity to unite and make a bold statement, saying: we care about the people, places and wildlife of this planet – now and for future generations.
Forests
Autumn 2009
This edition of Learn has been produced in partnership with the FSC - the Forest Stewardship Council - in the UK.
The FSC was established in 1993 by concerned groups such as WWF and focuses on the responsible management of the world's forests. Products carrying the FSC tick-tree label come from forests that are managed responsibly to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations.
