Sustainable Schools, Sustainable Futures
This is a practical book written by David Hicks for teachers working at Key Stage 2/3 (Second and Third Levels in Scotland). It sets out the need for, and the nature of, a more sustainable future and the ways in which this can be both explored and realised in schools.
The Future We Want
As part of WWF’s preparations for the Rio+20 Earth Summit which took place in June 2012, we ran a nationwide poetry competition for secondary schools on the theme of The Future We Want. We published a support pack on the themes around the conference.
One Sun One World
The intention of this pack is to support a school choosing to perform some or all of One Sun One World by providing a wider school experience through the curriculum, with activities and action for the whole school community.
Learn
Each term, WWF publishes a free termly poster resource for schools focusing on a key sustainability topic, and the National Framework for Sustainable Schools. Download the latest issue and get access to all the back issues.
Information packs
We publish teacher information packs on key environmental issues. Our latest pack focuses on climate change.
Consumption topic box
The Consumption topic box for primary schools provides teaching and learning materials focusing on consumption and ecological footprint.
