Screening Terms and Conditions 

1. By hosting a screening of David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, whether through notification to WWF via this website or otherwise, you agree to do so in accordance with the following terms and conditions:

  • David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet is available on Netflix from 4th October 2020, from which time users can watch the film with friends and family in a domestic setting as per the usual Netflix terms and conditions. 

 

2. Digital / Virtual Screenings 
 

  • Digital / virtual screenings are permitted after 4th October 2020 provided they meet the following conditions: 
  • The film may only be accessed via the Netflix service, by Netflix account holders. 
  • You must not use Netflix’s logos in any promotion for your screening, or indicate or imply that the screening is “official” or endorsed by Netflix, Sir David Attenborough, WWF or the film-makers (unless otherwise agreed explicitly in writing with WWF in advance).  
  • The screening must be non-profit and non-commercial and there must be no payment or charge for admission. 

 

3. In Person / Physical Screenings 
 

  • In-person / physical screenings are permitted after 19th October 2020 using the Netflix service provided that these terms and conditions are followed. The screenings must be one time public educational screenings. These are defined as one-time screenings from a single Netflix account to multiple people outside of a domestic setting, such as at a school, educational setting or community hall. These screenings must meet the following terms and conditions: 
  • The film may only be accessed via the Netflix service, by a Netflix account holder. We don’t sell DVDs, nor can we provide other ways for you to exhibit the film. 
  • Event organisers should follow the advice and recommendations of their government and / or local authorities to deem whether gatherings of people are permitted, and appropriate, and they should always follow COVID-19 guidelines and any other applicable rules, regulations or guidelines. 
  • You must not use Netflix’s logos in any promotion for your screening, or indicate or imply that the screening is “official” or endorsed by Netflix, Sir David Attenborough, WWF or the film-makers (unless otherwise agreed explicitly in writing with WWF in advance). 
  • The screening must be non-profit and non-commercial and there must be no payment or charge for admission. You can’t accept advertising or commercial sponsorships in connection with the screening. No entry fees may be charged but it’s fine to request donations to cover the cost of the event only. 

 

4. If attendees want to donate to a charitable cause during the event, this is acceptable, but it needs to be clear that any donations are not associated with or endorsed by Netflix, Sir David Attenborough, or directly with the making of the film.
