We’re working with Knorr, one of the world’s largest food brands, to tackle the negative impacts of the food we eat and create a more sustainable food future.
WHY WE’RE WORKING TOGETHER
The global food system is the biggest driver of nature loss on the planet. The way we produce and eat food has a massive impact on the planet – changing our climate, devastating wildlife and degrading our precious natural resources.
Through our partnership with Knorr, we want to inspire chefs, retailers and shoppers to discover a greater variety of plant-based foods.
Switching to a more plant-based diet is one of the most important things any of us can do to reduce our impact on the planet. Choosing a wider range of foods helps too: three-quarters of all food produced globally comes from just 12 plant and 5 animal species.
WHAT WE’RE DOING
Together we’ve published the Future 50 Foods Report, which champions 50 lesser-known crops from around the world. These diverse and versatile ingredients could help feed a growing global population and boost the nutritional value of our meals while reducing the environmental impact of our food supply.
Also with Knorr and its parent company Unilever, we’re developing an ambitious project to help reduce the environmental impact of farming and encourage greater diversity in crops.
