Level: Moderate - tough (depending on distance)
A great event to walk off the Christmas celebrations and to kick start your New Year fitness regime! There are Full Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K options, both starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 January.
Take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s key landmarks.

The route and distance options:
The Marathon (42km) – looped walk, starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground in Vauxhall
Half Marathon (21km) – starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground in Vauxhall with two options either heading East or West
10km Walk - Thames loop - starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground in Vauxhall
Registration fees and sponsorship targets:
Charity sponsorship - pay a small registration fee and do lots of fundraising.
Full Challenge (42km) - £30 registration fee + £300 in fundraising
Half Challenge (21km) - £20 registration fee + £225 in fundraising
10km Walk - £10 registration fee + £150 in fundraising
Mixed Funding - pay a higher contribution to the cost of your place and fundraise less
Full Challenge (42km) - £50 registration fee + £150 in fundraising
Half Challenge (21km) - £40 registration fee + £120 in fundraising
10km Walk - £25 registration fee + £75 in fundraising
You will need to raise 50% of your fundraising target at least three weeks before the event in order to confirm your place on the day.
