More ambition is needed to deliver a fair energy transition, says WWF

Rick Parfett, WWF’s Head of Climate Policy, said:

"Today’s announcements may ease pressure in the short term, but more ambition is needed to deliver a fair energy transition.

With another winter of high bills ahead, households need lasting solutions. That means moving legacy policy costs off bills, rejecting Rosebank, and boosting funding for warm homes.

The country is demanding real change to cut bills, strengthen energy security and protect people and nature for the long-term. Government must deliver."
