What was the mass lobby?
On Wednesday 9 July we were in London alongside The Climate Coalition and groups from across the UK, as thousands of people met with their MPs to demand urgent action to restore nature and tackle climate change.

Why did we take part?
After last year’s election, over 300 new MPs entered Parliament. Many are still getting to know their communities and learning about what matters to their constituents.
While climate and nature were big issues during the election, we’ve already seen some promises rolled back. We reminded our leaders that inaction is not an option.
We know this works. In past mass lobbies, people coming together face-to-face with their MPs has made a real difference.

What was the outcome?
Around 5,000 people were signed up to meet with their MPs on the day, with many travelling from Scotland, Wales and all corners of the country to talk with leaders at Westminster. Parents and grandparents, neighbours, students, activists and first-time campaigners were inspirational in showing our leaders that we, their constituents, want to live in a country where people and nature can thrive together.
