Join us for a World Ocean Day live lesson
Whether our homes are near or far from the sea, our lives depend on our planet’s oceans. Covering about 70% of the earth’s surface, our seas supply half the oxygen we breathe, and provide food and livelihoods for more than a billion people!
Join WWF on Thursday 6 June at 10am to find out all about the importance of oceans, including their amazing wildlife. Explore some of the challenges oceans face including climate change and plastic pollution and discover what we can all do to help our oceans.
Join us for this interactive, live session – full of fun facts and our amazing oceans quiz!
Learning outcomes:
- Describe reasons why oceans and seas are important for wildlife and for humans.
- Describe some of the challenges that our oceans are currently facing (overfishing, climate change, plastic pollution) and some of the solutions people have come up with.
- Explain how people can help the oceans by making sustainable choices in their daily lives.
