What's the mass lobby?
On Wednesday 9 July we’ll be in London alongside The Climate Coalition and groups from across the UK, as thousands of people meet with their MPs to demand urgent action to restore nature and tackle climate change.
You can help show our leaders that we, their constituents, want to live in a country where people and nature can thrive together.
When: Wednesday, 9 July 2025
Where: Westminster, London

How to take part
Register to join us at the mass lobby on the Climate Coalition’s registration form. You’ll be allocated a time and place where you and other people from your constituency will meet to speak with your MP. Once you’ve signed up, The Climate Coalition will keep you updated with information on exactly what to expect on the day, and how to talk to your MP. They will also be hosting training sessions if you would like more advice on meeting with your MP.
WWF will have a meeting spot nearby, where you can join us at any time during the day for a chat, information, refreshment, or just a tranquil moment away from the bustle of Westminster. Look out for the address and more information coming soon.

Why now?
After last year’s election, over 300 new MPs entered Parliament. Many are still getting to know their communities and learning about what matters to their constituents.
While climate and nature were big issues during the election, we’ve already seen some promises rolled back. We’re going to remind our leaders that inaction is not an option.
We know this works. In past mass lobbies, people coming together face-to-face with their MPs has made a real difference.
Staying safe at the mass lobby
Taking part in the mass lobby should be a fun and effective way to call for change.
We recommend that, once you have registered, you follow the guidance issued by The Climate Coalition (available on their website and via emails) to ensure that you are well prepared for the day.
Venues will be wheelchair accessible and you can let The Climate Coalition know your access needs when you complete the registration form.
Before joining an event like this, it is important that you consider risks and take measures to ensure that you and your group have everything you need to stay safe and comfortable.
Research in advance
This ensures you know where open and accessible facilities – such as toilets, water points, baby change rooms, prayer/meditation spaces and even places to sit - will be available.
Consider what to bring
Consider what you should have with you in order to avoid discomfort or risk. For example, water, medicines, snacks, weather-appropriate clothing and accessories.
Prepare for potential long waits
Consider carefully how long it is sensible for members of your group to be on their feet. Time slots for meeting MPs will be allocated, but there will still be some queuing. There may be delays to allocated timings, resulting in longer-than-planned times waiting.
Keep in touch
Ensure that you have considered how to stay in touch if the group splits or individuals become separated.
Adequate support
It is important that if children or at-risk adults are part of your group, you have enough supervising adults to ensure that all members are accompanied and supported at all times. If you’re under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Responding to an incident
If the safety or wellbeing of anyone in your group is threatened during your time at the mass lobby, it is important that action is taken immediately to protect that person. Move away from the source of the risk with them and try to let a steward or police officer know the situation. If you feel unable to address the risk yourself, ask for help from those around you to alert a steward or police officer.
