Beyond BECCS Summary
This summary report, written jointly by the RSPB and WWF-UK, summarises research conducted to examine whether it is possible to reduce the UK’s future reliance on BECCS and still achieve net zero emissions by 2050, whilst understanding the wider environmental and land use implications of these decisions. It makes the case for a more precautionary approach to BECCS than currently planned by the UK Government and outlines how this could be achieved.
