Government must close policy gaps in updated climate strategy, says WWF

Reacting to the Climate Change Committee's first assessment of the new Government’s climate progress, Isabella O’Dowd, WWF’s head of climate policy, said:

“The UK Government has made some positive progress but must close policy gaps, including on improving homes and using the power of nature to reduce emissions, in its updated climate strategy, due in October.

“Making electricity cheaper and strengthening our energy security by cutting our reliance on expensive oil and gas imports must be top government priorities. Action now will help cut household bills, drive economic growth, and increase the use of home-grown renewable energy.”
