“Nature friendly farming is only viable route to a resilient food system”

Commenting on the Countryside Stewardship extension, Sofia Parente, Head of Policy (Production), at WWF said:

"Climate change and nature loss are the biggest threats to food security and farmers’ profitability. Many farmers are embracing nature friendly farming as it is the only viable route to a resilient food and farming system, and this must be supported. We applaud the government's extension of Countryside Stewardship, but more support must be made available for farmers making this transition."
