How do I collect donations?

When you register, you’ll have the option to set up a Just Giving fundraising page, and we’ll automatically set you up a WWF branded fundraiser too.

I'm worried I won't get any donations

Remember, you’ve got plenty of time to collect donations, so try not to worry. Here’re some of our top fundraising tips:

Donate to your own fundraiser – it shows your friends and family that you’re taking your challenge seriously!
See if your employer has a ‘matched donations’ policy – you could potentially double the amount your raise!
Keep your friends and family updated with your challenge and they'll donate once they see what you're doing.
Personalise your fundraiser blurb & photo - this makes a huge difference! Tell people what's motivated you to take on the challenge.

How do we track our miles?

There’s some great free apps such as Strava, Map My Run or Runkeeper. Your WWF fundraising page will also have a tracking function built in to keep a tally. We also have a digital tracker and printed version you can use too, find it on the website or it will be on the back of the letter that comes with your t-shirt.

No need to send us proof you’ve completed your miles, but don’t forget to keep friends and family updated so they can see how hard you’re pushing yourself and how many miles you’re getting done!

Is this challenge accessible?

Absolutely. We want everyone to take part, whichever way they choose - you can walk, jog, run, skip, dance - whatever works for you, to complete this challenge.

If you're not able to complete the miles, we want to you take part in any way you feel comfortable, but here's a few of our ideas:
- Take part with a friend or 2: split the miles between yourself and some friends, see how far you can get.
- Take a picture of nature every day, this can be as simple as taking a picture of a tree, plant or animal in the garden from your window.
- Get creative: draw or paint an animal or nature scene, every day in November.

If you want to chat through your ideas to anyone in the team, please email fundraising@wwf.org.uk and we can help!

When do I get my free t-shirt?

To get your free t-shirt you must register between 4th October 2024 and 7th November 2024. Please allow up to 10 working days for t-shirt to arrive after registering. We only post t-shirts to UK addresses, and it is a maximum of one t-shirt per person.

Your Social Sync fundraiser total will reflect your total across Facebook and Social Sync.
