WWF-UK Happy By Nature programme survey - Prize draw

To win: a one-year adoption of one of our iconic species of your choice (choice of Tiger, Panda, Gorilla, Turtle, Orangutan, Jaguar, Elephant Rhino, Penguin, Polar Bear or Snow Leopard). Five available to be won in total.  

To enter this prize draw, you need to complete the Happy By Nature Programme survey emailed to you (referred to in these terms as “the Survey”) by no later than 23:59 BST on 3 June 2026.  

By entering this prize draw, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:  

Entry requirements
  • The Survey has been sent to eligible participants by email. The Survey and prize draw is open to UK primary school teachers who have engaged in WWF-UK’s Happy by Nature programme.
  • All survey participants who fully complete the survey will automatically be entered into our prize draw. If you would prefer not to be entered into the prize draw, please email happybynature@wwf.org.uk .
  • The closing date for receiving entries is 23:59 on 3 June 2026.
  • Only one entry per individual will be accepted.  
The draw and prize details  
  • All valid entries will be entered into a draw from which five entries will be chosen at random to receive the prize.  
  • The draw will take place within ten days of the closing date. The draw will determine the winners.  
  • There are five prizes available in total. Each winning entry will receive a one-year adoption of one of iconic adoption species aimed at under 12s. Each winner will be able to choose between a Tiger, Panda, Gorilla, Turtle, Orangutan, Jaguar, Elephant Rhino, Penguin, Polar Bear or Snow Leopard adoption. The adoption includes a welcome pack (inc. a colouring-in activity ‘wrap’, an optional plush toy of your chosen species, a certificate, an interactive booklet about your chosen species, a postcard and information about the work of WWF-UK) which will be sent at the start of the adoption and three updates about the chosen species which will be sent throughout the year of adoption.   • The winners will each be contacted by email. The WWF-UK supporter operations team will set up the adoption prize with each winner which may involve further data being requested but this will be limited to what is needed to set up the adoption. If a winner does not respond within a reasonable timeframe, WWF-UK reserves the right to offer their prize to another entrant and a subsequent draw will be held to select the additional winner(s).
  • The prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for a cash equivalent in any circumstances. WWF-UK reserves the right to substitute the prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

This prize draw is administered by WWF-UK, Fauna & Flora International, and The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International as co-promoters. Where we refer to “the Promoters”, we are referring to all three organisations.

Entry Requirements
  • You must be aged 18 or over on the date of entry.
  • This prize draw is open to UK residents, excluding employees of WWF-UK, Fauna & Flora International, The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, and Volcanoes Safaris.
  • Paid entries can only be purchased via the crowdfunder page (https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/gorilla-experience) and must be confirmed by no later than 23:59 on 11 May 2026 in order to be entered into the draw.
  • Paid entries are charged at different rates depending on the number of entries being purchased at the time (£5 for one entry, £10 for two entries, £20 for five entries, £50 for fifteen entries and £100 for thirty-two entries).
  • Free postal entries must be sent to Gorilla Prize Draw, Living Planet Centre, Rufford House, Brewery Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 4LL and contain your name, address, date of birth, and an email address or phone number. These postal entries must be received by WWF-UK no later than 23:59 on 11 May 2026 in order to be entered into the draw. Standard postal charges apply.
  • Multiple entries per person will be accepted.
  • Only entries that fully comply with the entry instructions will be accepted.
The Draw
  • All valid entries will be entered into a draw from which one entry will be chosen at random to receive the Top Prize.
  • A subsequent draw will take place with all remaining valid entries from which four entries will be chosen at random to each receive the Runner-up Prize.
  • Both draws will take place on 18 May.
  • Winners of both the Top Prize and the Runner-up Prize will be contacted by telephone and/or email within one week of the draw date. If any winner cannot be contacted within 21 days of the draw after reasonable attempts have been made, WWF-UK reserves the right to offer the prize to another prize draw entrant.
Prize Details
  • The winner of the Top Prize will receive a voucher which can be redeemed for the mountain gorilla experience with Volcanoes Safaris and a £2,000 voucher which can be redeemed with a variety of airlines.
  • The Volcanoes Safari voucher is only valid for stays which complete before 31 May 2027 and only for stays which take place during Volcanoes Safaris’ published low-season dates (as published on their website). The current low-season dates are 01 March - 31 May and 01 October – 14 December. The booking is subject to availability at the time of booking. A booking outside of the low-season dates may be possible, subject to availability and a supplement being paid by the winner of the Top Prize. The booking will be subject to Volcanoes Safaris’ booking terms and conditions.
  • The mountain gorilla experience redeemable with the Volcanoes Safaris voucher includes, for two people:
    - Six nights’ accommodation in a shared standard room. This includes one night at the Hemmingway Retreat in Kigali, Rwanda, followed by three nights at Mount Gahinga Lodge in Uganda, then two nights at Virunga Lodge in Rwanda;
    - Breakfast at the Hemmingway Retreat;
    - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus soft and alcoholic drinks at the Mount Gahinga Lodge and Virunga Lodge (only French champagne is charged as an extra);
    - Road transport from/to Kigali Airport at the start/end of the trip for two people;
    - Road transport between accommodations and for all included treks and excursions;
    - A guided gorilla trek (including permits and operational fees) in Mgahinga National Park in Uganda during the stay at Mount Gahinga Lodge;
    - A golden monkey guided experience (including permits and operational fees) in Mgahinga National Park in Uganda during the stay at Mount Gahinga Lodge;
    - A guided gorilla trek (including permits and operational fees) in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda during the stay at Virunga Lodge;
    - A guided behind the scenes tour of the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, plus a gorilla conservation talk from Fossey Fund experts.
  • The flight voucher has a total value of £2,000 and can be used towards international airfares to and from Kigali Airport in Rwanda.
  • The winner of the Top Prize will be responsible for booking the mountain gorilla experience directly with Volcanoes Safaris. The winner of the Top Prize will also be responsible for booking their own air travel to and from Kigali Airport (and that of their guest) and for complying with any travel or entry requirements.
  • The Top Prize does not include any additional costs towards international airfares above and beyond the £2,000 flights voucher, additional tours or excursions during your stay, visas required for travel or entry, passports, travel insurance, medical insurance or personal expenditure.
  • The winner of the Top Prize is responsible for ensuring that both themselves and their guest are in suitable health and physical condition to participate in the experience. Visiting mountain gorillas in their natural habitat involves trekking through mountainous forest terrain, which can be physically demanding.
  • Mountain gorillas in the wild can be unpredictable. Though most participants do see them during their trek - it is not guaranteed. Participants must adhere to safety and responsible tourism guidelines when visiting the mountain gorillas and will be unable to take part in a trek if they are unwell at the time.
  • The Runner-up Prize (4 available) is a paperback copy of the book ‘A Life on our Planet’ signed by Sir David Attenborough. Each winner of the Runner-up Prize will receive their prize within 28 days of a postal address being confirmed.
  • The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for a cash equivalent in any circumstances. The Promoters reserve the right to substitute the prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
Your personal data
  • Any personal information collected by the Promoters in connection with the administration of this prize draw will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and WWF-UK’s Privacy Policy (available at https://www.wwf.org.uk/privacy-and-data-protection). The Promoters reserve the right to request additional information from entrants to verify that the eligibility criteria has been met.
  • If you have given your consent to receive marketing communications from the Promoters, your personal information will be shared with all the Promoters and will be used by each organisation in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Where you have not given your consent to receive marketing communications, the personal information that is collected and processed will be limited to what is necessary to organise the running of the prize draw and the delivery of prizes.
  • The Promoters will also share the personal information of the winner of the Top Prize with Volcanoes Safaris for the purpose of administering the draw and delivering the prizes.

WWF-UK Happy By Nature – Earth Hour - Prize Draw

To win: one of 6 available books (see below for full prize details)

To enter this prize draw, you need to submit a description of an earth hour related activity that your primary level pupils  have undertaken using our Happy By Nature Earth Hour submission form (accessed at https://www.wwf.org.uk/get-involved/schools/happy-by-nature/earth-hour) by no later than 23:59 GMT on 30 April 2026.

On the submission form, you must include:

  • A valid UK school name, address and contact person’s full name if you are entering on behalf of a School OR a home address and contact details if you are entering as a UK Home Educator; and
  • A description of an earth hour related activity that has been undertaken.


You can choose to add a supporting image which showcases a single pupil’s piece of work, multiple pupils’ pieces of work or illustrating the activity as a whole. A selection of these descriptions and images will be added to our digital gallery (see below for more detail).

If you are submitting images, you must have obtained the permission of anyone featured in the photo before submission. Images should not be submitted where individual pupils are recognisable or where submitting the photo to WWF could pose a safeguarding risk.

  • This prize draw is open to all staff at a UK school and all UK home educators
  • The submission must be completed by a teacher, school staff member, or parent/guardian/carer

  • The earth hour activity you describe in your submission must have been undertaken by pupils who are at Primary/P level or SEND school pupils who are learning at equivalent levels.
