Celebrating International Polar Bear Day

To celebrate International Polar Bear Day, Woodfield Primary School had a whole school Polar Bear Day on 18 February and raised an amazing £175.30 for WWF! Year 4 teacher Miss Warren tells us more:

"We did lots of activities and listened to many experts via Zoom, which gave us some brilliant knowledge about climate change and the danger of polar bears becoming extinct."

"Woodfield Primary School's Eco Council organised a collection of bottle tops from the whole school. They had the idea to create a large-scale mural to spread the message about saving our planet and recycling. The children worked together and the school has now displayed it outside for all the community and parents to see."

Thank you so much to all the students, staff and families of Woodfield Primary School, we hope your polar bear mural inspires everyone in your school community and beyond to work together to save our shared world.
