Freshwater
The Amazon is the world's largest river and we are working to conserve its vital freshwater resources.
Water is life. Our objective is to transform the way hydropower development is planned in the Amazon region, working with governments and planning institutions and advocating for sustainable hydropower programmes that take into account environmental considerations and ensure river flow. Healthy river flowing are crucial for free movement of threatened freshwater biodiversity, including river dolphins.
We also work on freshwater conservation in the Pantanal
