YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE

First steps

The easiest way to raise funds and hit your target is to make sure you have created your JustGiving fundraising page. It's secure for your friends and family to donate and it's a great tool to update your story and keep track of your progress. Plus, it sends your donations to WWF automatically!

Self donate

Be the first to donate to your own fundraising page; it shows your friends and family that you’re taking your fundraising seriously and can encourage others to do the same.

Make it personal

Make your fundraising page personal. Share your story about why nature is so special to you and show friends and family why their donations are so important.

SPREAD THE WORD

Share, share and share again!

We can't say it enough! Social media, email and WhatsApp are great starting points. You can also ask your friends and family to share your page with their contacts to maximise your reach - and your donations.

Use your networks

Do you have any local radio stations or newsletters that you could share your story with? Perhaps your child's school or your local sports centre might also share your event and fundraising page to increase awareness of your fundraising.

Keep everyone updated

Use your fundraising page to share updates on your fundraising and also how you're feeling about the event. Make sure to thank everyone who donates too. Every amount donated, no matter how big or small, is a great step to helping you hit your fundraising target.

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

Matched Giving

It's always worth having a conversation with your employer to see if they have a matched giving policy. One quick conversation could help double the money you raise!

Set mini milestones

It's a great idea to break down your target into smaller milestones. Not only does it help you plan your fundraising, but you could also set 'rewards' for donors! For example, when you reach £50 on your fundraising page you'll wear animal ears to work for a week! Fun rewards will keep your friends and family engaged in your event and will encourage them to donate too.

Games galore

Use our sponsor a mile poster as a fun way for friends and family to donate. Can you think of other fun games to boost your fundraising? Pin the tail on the squirrel, guess the name of the hedgehog or hold a raffle of prizes from local businesses to help drum up more donations.
