Earth hour countdown

What is Earth Hour?

Every year, millions of people across the globe unite to show that they care about the future of our planet, by switching off for one hour.

But it’s about more than just an hour - it’s a moment to connect with nature and each other. Nature is our life support system. It gives us clean air, fresh water, food, medicine and more. Yet it’s under threat.

This Earth Hour, we’re switching off and taking action for the wildlife and places we love. Because it’s in our nature. Will you join us?

Take Action this Earth Hour

Scotland’s nature is always worth celebrating and it needs our help now, more than ever.

This year is especially important. It’s an election year where critical decisions will be made about all our futures.

Add your name to our petition this Earth Hour. 5,500 people have demanded urgent nature and climate action so far – will you too?
