World Environment Day - 5 June

Our natural environment underpins all life on earth – it’s the air we breathe, the water we drink, the habitats we share. But it is under significant pressure from climate change, biodiversity loss, and more.

That’s why we’re working together with local communities across the globe to protect and restore ecosystems, and local livelihoods.  

From remote rangelands in the Indian Himalayas, the woodlands and savannahs of East Africa, to the rainforests of the Bolivian Amazon – we’re working to safeguard species and habitats while fostering human-wildlife coexistence.

These projects, supported by the UK Government’s Biodiversity Challenge Fund, are providing essential support to ensure habitats, wildlife, and communities thrive. In doing so, they’re helping to maintain balanced ecosystems: the foundation of a healthy environment.
